Last year, I unleashed the 2006 Awesome List. Since I already have Face Rockery this year, I think a name change will be appropriate. The 2007 Face Rocking List will showcase the things in comics and pop culture that totally rocked my face this year. In no particular order:
Here’s a funny story:
I’ve had several experiences before wherein I braved ridiculous traffic while ignoring hunger just to get my new comics from my LCS, only to be told that the shipment was late and I had to go back the next day. This past week though, I knew ahead of time that the shipment would be delayed. I talked to the clerks via SMS and I confirmed that the shipment was indeed late. So instead of going to the shop on Thursday, I went on Friday. But alas! I was told I had to go back Saturday after lunch! Screw that! I’ll just get it when I pick up next week’s haul. I’m lazy like that.
ITEM! Millar and Hitch become fantastic! The duo that rocked everyone’s faces with The Ultimates will do their magic in the main Marvel Universe when they take over “Fantastic Four” in 2008. Let’s all pray to whatever god we pray to that they’ll deliver the comics on time.
ITEM! Alex Ross returns to Marvel! I’m not his biggest fan, but I enjoyed his and Jim Kreuger’s awesome Earth X, Universe X, and Paradise X immensely. So yeah, I’m definitely on board for Avengers/Invaders. Also, check out the teaser image. Is his… is his ass on fire?!
ITEM! Laura Hudson is awesome! Old news for me, but I just want to echo it.
You can find all sorts of rubbish and, sometimes, brilliance in this so-called “blogosphere”. Soon, the whole world’s existence will be dictated by the voices of the “Internet”. And the world shall tremble in fear, for I, Victor Von Doom, shall start my conquest of the world by taking over this blasted blogosphere!
My plans have already been set in motion. BEHOLD! The emerging blogosphere… of DOOM!
