After being let down by Wonder Woman’s relaunch under the guidance of writer Allan Heinberg, I swore I’ll never pick up the series again. And then Gail Simone took a shot at the Amazon Princess. I ate my words.

The Circle is Simone’s first arc on WW, and I have to say, I love it. Two reasons:

OK, I give up. I tried it weekly. I tried it monthly. It’s just a hassle forcing myself into reviewing comics on a regular schedule. So to my self-imposed system of blogging about new comic releases, I say fuck you. I’m winging it from now on. Blogging shouldn’t feel like work. I haven’t bought an action figure since I was in grade school, but if DC (or anyone, for that matter) will mass produce these custom figures, I’ll be all over it. Seriously.

Hm. The first two Monthly Haul opening images contain Wolverine saying “Comics!” and I swear to God it wasn’t premeditated. Anyhoo, I kind of realized that since I’m doing this monthly comic book reviews thing, I might as well do it the last week of every month. If you noticed, I’m currently doing it the third week, which is sorta weird. So the third installment of Monthly Haul will come after the last Wednesday of January. I’m sure you don’t care, so let’s just go ahead and review some comics.
