Is she going swimming? Is she going to an awesome rave party? Does she have a date with a stripper dance pole? Did she accidentally say “No more clothes”? Is this Marvel’s way of rewarding me for pre-ordering the whole Ultimates 3 mini? How did they know I’m a sucker for redheads in skimpy scarlet attire? One thing’s for sure, though. Frank Cho draws lovely wimmens.
Last year, I unleashed the 2006 Awesome List. Since I already have Face Rockery this year, I think a name change will be appropriate. The 2007 Face Rocking List will showcase the things in comics and pop culture that totally rocked my face this year. In no particular order:
ITEM! “The Third Kryptonian” is coming! Kurt Busiek will introduce another Kryptonian to the DCU and it looks rather interesting. Technically, this new Kryptonian is the, what, 576th Kryptonian on Earth?
ITEM! The Rock: Captain Marvel or Black Adam? The Great One is currently in discussions to play a role in “Shazam”, and he wants the fans to decided which role he’ll play: the squeaky clean Captain Marvel or the hardcore Black Adam? If you smellllalalalaLOUWWW… what The Rock… is cookin’.
ITEM! The Voices of Marvel remastered! Doug Pratt remastered two Marvel Flexidiscs from the 1960’s. Gee wiz, I love how people talked back then!
ITEM! The search for Steve Ditko is on! A documentary by Jonathan Ross shines the light on Spider-Man co-creator, Steve Ditko. And I thought the man’s already dead. Shame, on me. =(
ITEM! “Secret Invasion” teaser video now online! Could this trailer provide us clues as to what those Skrull bastards are planning to do? And what’s up with Stark and Spider-Woman? Will he secretly “invade” her? *teehee*
ITEM! Wizard lays off Sean T. Collins! And the devastating aftermath involves comics bloggers blogging about it. I’d like to say more but I don’t really read any Wizard stuff anymore. So, yeah. Meh.
