4 out of the 7 comics I got last week cost $3.99 each. WTF?! I can smell the increase in cover price of all regular comics in the near future. I hope I’m wrong or my wallet is screwed. Anyhoo, it’s time for the reviews! YAY!
ITEM! Justice League movie closer than you’d expect! A script and a director (George Miller of “Happy Feet”) are in the bag, and as early as February 2008, production will begin. Also, rumors say it’s going to be an all-CGI “photo-real” motion capture movie. Christian Bale and Brandon Routh are likely not to be involved, and I don’t care. I want my JLA movie, dammit!
ITEM! Scarlett Johansson joins “The Spirit”! She’ll play the femme fatale Silk N. Floss in the movie adaptation of Will Eisner’s The Spirit directed by Frank goddamn Miller. Can’t wait to see the dangerous curves.
ITEM! Veronica Mars joins Heroes! Okay, not exactly the character Veronica Mars, but Kristen Bell. She’ll be playing a hot and mysterious character named Elle. May I just say that as a card-carrying member of the Horny Geeks Society, I am very pleased with this news.
