This entry is part 6 of 12 in the series Face-Rocking Covers

Every Thursday, Baddie hits you with face-rocking comic book covers that could inspire you to say either “HOLY FUCK, THAT’S AWESOME!!!” or “WTF, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!” Whether it’s the awesomest of all awesome covers that ever awesomed, or the shittiest of all crappy covers that ever took a dump, if it’s face-rocking, it’s in here.

For those of you who’s been here before, you may have noticed that instead of rocking your face with Face-Rocking Covers on a Friday like I have for the past 5 weeks, I will now be rocking your face with awesome covers every Thursday. Now that we’ve taken care of that useless information, let’s move on to this week’s face-rocking covers.

We’ll be taking a break from all the acid-induced face rockery of old comic book covers to shine the spotlight on more recent kick-ass covers of the Birds of Prey. They’re hot, hardcore, and holy-hell-I’m-not-shitting-you awesome.

birds of prey

You will never see a hotter group of crime fighters like the Birds. Never. Also, Oracle’s the hottest chick on a wheelchair ever. That’s a fact.

I love Marvel’s What If? stories and I’m hoping they make more of them comic book crack. They don’t make screwed up comics like they used to. Well, actually they still do. If you count Civil War. ZING! On that note, let me present to you some of the most mind-blowing covers of the What If? series. I’ll throw in three What The–?! covers too for added face rockery. You’re welcome.

That… that’s the most disturbing cover I’ve ever seen. Ever.

I feel bad about saying that a blatant show of flesh is the main hook of “Supergirl”, especially when I didn’t read issues #2-19. So, as a service to the public by a responsible citizen of the Intarnetz, I’m going to inspect some covers to see if sex sells Supergirl’s monthly series. It’s the right thing to do. After all, if you’re going to use sex to attract fanboysmen, you’re going to do it on the comic’s cover.

With a white background that directs your attention to Supergirl, it’s hard not to focus on her skinny model-ish body. Yep. Bad start.

Since I’m a “Marvel guy”, my knowledge of DC characters is limited at best. I find a lot of DC characters boring, but there are times when I just stumble upon a character or group of characters and it just trips my “Awesometasticular!!!” alert. One recent discovery is a group of four kickass sons of bitches with some of the most “WHAT THE–?!” adventures around: the Challengers of the Unknown!

it’s god!

Oh noes! It’s GOD! The Challengers have the knack for throwin’ it down with giant hands. Observe:

Since we’re in a sort of Crisis-themed week, might as well feature face-rocking covers of the original Crisis: Crisis on Infinite Earths. It was a 12-issue maxi-series where all sorts of shit went down, and it’s all glorious.

You’ll know when something huge is about to happen when you see a cover with superheroes floating in space while two Earths collide and explode in the background.

avatar This is where Baddie blogs about comics, pop culture, and other face-rocking things. Also, this is where Dr. Doom shares some of his infinite wisdom, but only when he feels generous. You will only bear witness to Doom's brilliance when Doom commands it! Your face, Baddie and Doom are rocking it!
