I don’t usually go out and buy trades, may it be of recent years or of decades past. Well, unless they’re totally face-melting awesome like Iron Man: Doomquest!

I purchased it in Marvel Premier Classic format which totally feels so good to the touch. I felt so sophisticated while I was reading it. A hardbound graphic novel about Iron Man and Dr. Doom going back in time to the age of King Arthur, and subsequently going to the future to save Future Camelot with the help of Merlin and a reborn Arthur. Fantastic. Here are ten reasons why I say so (Sorry, no scans. I don’t want to risk ruining the book. Heh.):

So I just saw the Iron Man movie and I’m still giggling like a school girl because of that scene after the credits. I’m betting that most people who have seen and will see it will write a review like their opinions are worth everybody’s time. So, yeah. I’ll pass on my review until the DVD arrives. Instead, I’ll let DOOM give his opinion because really, his is the only opinion that matters. And DOOM says the Iron Man movie pleases him.

This entry is part 4 of 4 in the series Tuesday Theatre

iron man week

Iron Man Week has too much awesome in it that it’s screwing with Time itself. This, the 5th Tuesday Theatre post, went live on a Wednesday, totally screwing up our timeline and endangering mankind’s future!

OK not really. I just had to bump Tuesday Theatre because of the 15 Best Comic Book Movies of All Time feature I did with Cinemabuzz and Comicology. Wanna make somethin’ of it?!

Anyhoo, I searched YouTube for Iron Man tribute videos and I discovered that most of them feature the Black Sabbath song, which is kind of annoying. No, not the song. The song is probably one of the greatest rock songs of all time. What’s annoying is most people can’t think of songs that would be perfect for an Iron Man video other than the Sabbath one. Thank Stan for the dude who made this video:

Like all great movie trilogies, the second movie has to live up to the first, and maybe even try to surpass it. It also has to build the story and the conflict for the third movie’s awesome finish. On top of all that, it has to stand on its own. It has to be a strong enough movie so it won’t feel like just a bridge connecting two towers of AWESOME. That’s a lot of responsibility for a movie. Thank God this isn’t a movie. This is the second part of Cinemabuzz, Comicology, and Face Rockery’s collaborative list of the 15 Best Comic Book Movies of All Time! HAHAHAHAaaaiiineed a drink.

Now, before we start, make sure you’ve read the first part of the list over at Cinemabuzz. If you haven’t done that yet, please do so now. … Done? Awesome. Let’s go.

This entry is part 12 of 12 in the series Face-Rocking Covers

iron man week

There’s no better way to bring back my totally useless blog series, Face-Rocking Covers, than the first day of this most momentous week: IRON MAN WEEK YAY! Obviously, we’ll be taking a look at some of ol’ Shellhead’s old face-rocking comic book covers. The Invincible One didn’t catch the fancy of the general public until the movie was announced, which baffles me since Iron Man is one rockin’ mofo. Observe:

One of the most suspenseful covers ever. Seriously. It’s a dude trying to get his normal clothes off and desperately trying to put on his suit of armor… WHILE FALLING TO HIS CERTAIN DEATH! If only he thought of bringing this thing called a “parachute”.

avatar This is where Baddie blogs about comics, pop culture, and other face-rocking things. Also, this is where Dr. Doom shares some of his infinite wisdom, but only when he feels generous. You will only bear witness to Doom's brilliance when Doom commands it! Your face, Baddie and Doom are rocking it!
