ITEM! Diamond Distribution adjusts its benchmark for products it will carry! I haven’t read all the blog posts that talk about this issue, but I did read some articles that explain the issue clearly. As far as I can tell, this will mostly affect the small press guys. I’m a mainstream whore so, yeah. It’s not the end of the world for me.
ITEM! DC announces Origins and Omens creative teams! I didn’t really like the whole Faces of Evil stunt, and I’m not that interested with the Origins and Omens concept either. But hey, you’ll never when you’ll stumble upon a real gem of a comic amidst all the editorial bullshit, right?
ITEM! The Human Torch and Emo Superman join the cast of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World! Chris Evans and Brandon Routh will play 2 of the 7 evil ex-boyfriendsf Scott Pilgrim’s ladylove. Sounds interesting, but still not sure about the whole idea. I should really get the graphic novels ASAP.
ITEM! The Dark Knight left out of most of the major Oscar nominations! BOO! This is why the last time I enjoyed watching the Oscars was back in the 90’s. Back when the nominations made sense and the Academy wasn’t trying hard to be artsy fartsy pretentious pricks. BAH.
ITEM! Hawkeye gets a mini-series… starring Bullseye! The nasty villain is now a superhero. A member of the Avengers no less! Bullseye, taking up the role of Hawkeye, will get his own mini-series and I’m guessing it’ll be awesome. Warren Ellis showed me how awesome Bullseye can get, and now I’m a fan. The only problem I have with this mini-series is the price. 4 bucks a pop. Feh.
ITEM! CAROL DANVERS DIES! I highly doubt that Carol Danvers will die and fade away into Marvel obscurity, but it’s interesting to know that the new star of the Ms. Marvel monthly series will be the new Ms. Marvel, Moonstone.
