No, I will not shut up about the Agents of Atlas. Especially now that February, the debut month of the Agents of Atlas ongoing series, is drawing near. I’ve been begging for it since the mini-series ended way back in January 2007. It’s been a long 2 years, man. But I just know it’s worth it.

I’m seriously thinking of getting the hardcover of the mini-series and selling the individual issues. Or maybe I’ll just give it as a gift to someone who’s thinking of getting into comics. Because really, if I want someone to get started reading comics, I’m going to give them one of these:
- the Watchmen trade paperback
- the first volume of the Y: The Last Man trades
- the Agents of Atlas mini-series in trade format or the individual issues
- maybe the Kingdom Come trade, but I’m thinking this will be too confusing for a beginner
Okay, maybe not give them any of these. I’ll probably just let them borrow my copies. But they have to read it in front of me so I can protect my darling dead tree treasures from their filthy little fingers! Anyway, the bottom line is Jeff Parker’s unique ensemble makes for an awesome read. Do yourself a favor and get the mini-series. Then get the first issue of the ongoing. Then come back here and high five me.
