Yes, I just had to put the question mark in the title. Why, you ask? I don’t even know where to start. Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch’s first arc in the Fantastic Four book is just… how do I say this… stupid. Not really Hitch’s fault. I’m not a fan of his style, but I think the art is more than OK. My beef is with Millar. I mean, the story didn’t really pick up until the third issue, and on the fourth, he introduces Anti-Galactus out of nowhere.

I don’t mind seeing giant robots in my comics. Believe me, I think giant robots should be a part of every form of entertainment. Even stage musicals. But when a Transformers reject suddenly appears in the last part of the arc with no previous mention whatsoever, and with one punch defeats another giant robot that decimated practically every active Marvel superhero? NO.

Millar has a lot of awesome ideas, but brother, he fails miserably with his execution most of the time. Not even the promise of DOOM in the next arc will draw me back to this book. Pff.
