Action Comics Annual #11
I don’t even remember when the last part of this story came out, but just the same, I really wanted to finish this story brought to us by Geoff Johns and THE Richard Donner. I haven’t read the whole arc in one sitting yet, but I can say that I’m satisfied with the conclusion.
I’d take this Superman story, featuring a Kryptonian kid and the evil mofos from the Phantom Zone, over Superman Returns anytime. That isn’t saying much though, given that I hate that super emo movie with a passion.
Props to Adam Kubert for the wonderful art. I always liked his style, although I think he could’ve done better in this annual. Also, can I just say that seeing Superman teaming up with some of his most awesome enemies is solid WIN? I think the book’s highlight was the battle between the two grunting behemoths, Non and Bizarro. Man, that was an awesome scene. RRRR!
