Next week, the Iron Man movie will drop into theaters. It’s going to be an awesome week. I propose that we all stop listening to everything that we usually listen to and just bask in the fantastic rock magic of Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man” song. Also, it will be the perfect time for me to hold Iron Man Week here in Face Rockery, but it’s too awesome to be contained in one blog alone! Enter: CINEMABUZZ AND COMICOLOGY!

And there came a week like no other, when three blogs united under one banner: IRON MAN WEEK! Cinemabuzz, the blog about cinema that involves some buzz! Comicology, the blog about the study of awesome! And Face Rockery, the blog about… um, faces being rocked? Whatever. All three blogs will host Iron Man Week and it’s all about our good friend, the Invincible Iron Man! I have no idea what we’ll come up with, but I bet it’s going to be irontastic!

And speaking of awesome, it’s been a sad week in the comics blogosphere.The awesome Dave’s Long Box closed its doors. Even the blog’s arch-rival, Chris’s Invincible Super-Blog, has expressed grief. Sort of. But seriously, I’m grieving as well. These two titans of the comics blogging world were my primary sources of inspiration. I’m sure it shows on this here Face Rockery blog thingy. I guess from now on, I’ll only have to bow to one man, and one man alone. You won, Chris. BRING ON THE VICTORY WENCHES!

So yeah, we’ll miss your kickassery, Dave. I was supposed to give you a rock hand salute, but I think you rock too much for my puny hands to handle. So here’s a giant rock hand salute for you and your Long Box!
