From MTV Movies:
“Avengers Assemble!” Marvel’s mightiest team join forces to fight foes no single superhero can withstand. But if Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, and Ant-Man thought Count Nefaria or the Krees were formidable – wait’ll they get a load of the Countless Nerds and the Geeks, who will dissect every announcement and decision from the film like it was the word of God.
Bring ‘em on, says “Iron Man” director Jon Favreau, who, not only thinks that “The Avengers” is “a great idea,” but even told MTV News that he might like to direct it.
Let’s say “Iron Man” will be as awesome as its trailers and Jon Favreau will stick to Marvel’s idea of using the established movie characters and not just starting from scratch, then I’m all for him directing the Avengers movie.
Sure, they’ll probably make Thor and Captain America movies before they do this face rocking Avengers film, but it’ll be worth the wait. It’s going to be hella expensive to make, but we can definitely count on it making loads of money. I mean, think Ocean’s 11 with high-tech suits of armor, gamma-irradiated monsters, shield-slinging soldiers, and hammer-wielding Asgardians. Oh, and Ant-Man.
Make it so, Marvel!

Interesting news. I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve seen Iron Man
