y: the last man vol. 4: safeword

I’ve waited months between reading Vol. 3 and Vol. 4 of Y: The Last Man and it’s worth it. I read Vol. 1-3 again before reading Vol. 4 and it’s the best reading experience I’ve had in a very long time. I love the pop culture references, as well as the clean art. It just gets better and better every volume. Everybody should be reading this awesome piece of literature. Seriously.

harley quinn and catwoman

Just when I thought two chicks in skintight outfits beating the crap out of each other couldn’t get more awesome, Harley Quinn whomps Catwoman with a giant hammer. WHOMPtastic!

You know who really brings the WHOMP, though? Bahlactus!

new captain america

This is the cover of Captain America #34, which will drop in January 2008. It’s by Alex Ross, and it features the new Captain America. I don’t really care about Ross tweaking the costume, and I think the gun and the knife are sorta cool. I’m fine with all of this. Ed Brubaker is still on the helm after all. This new Cap is okay. I’m not going to bitch about the new costume and the offensive weapons. You know why? Because this ain’t Steve Rogers. This is the NEW Cap. And I bet he’s going to kick a lot of new ass. That is all.

Now, I’ve only seen a couple episodes of the first season and the last episode of the third, but that was enough to hook me. Unfortunately, I can’t catch it on local cable TV! And I think there’s still no DVD set available here. Or they’re all hiding from me. Dammit. And here’s more salt to the BSG unavailability wound:

GODDAMMIT I WANNA WATCH IT!!! Come on, Philippines! Let’s drop all the inane soap operas and stupid reality shows, and let’s make room for Battlestar frakkin’ Galactica! CHOP CHOP!!!

Baddieverse and Face Rockery join The Man Blog in observing a week of reverent blog silence for Joseph Michael Racoma, youngest son of J. Angelo and Caren, who passed away early this morning.

To the Racoma family and to all those whose lives were touched by Joseph Michael, you have our prayers and deepest condolences.

avatar This is where Baddie blogs about comics, pop culture, and other face-rocking things. Also, this is where Dr. Doom shares some of his infinite wisdom, but only when he feels generous. You will only bear witness to Doom's brilliance when Doom commands it! Your face, Baddie and Doom are rocking it!
