This entry is part 10 of 12 in the series Face-Rocking Covers

Since we’re in a sort of Crisis-themed week, might as well feature face-rocking covers of the original Crisis: Crisis on Infinite Earths. It was a 12-issue maxi-series where all sorts of shit went down, and it’s all glorious.

You’ll know when something huge is about to happen when you see a cover with superheroes floating in space while two Earths collide and explode in the background.

You know why this cover is awesome? It has cowboys, Indians, superheroes, WWII soldiers, and a giant dude with weird facial hair. If you’re still asking “So?”, you’re just not paying attention.

This is probably the most iconic image of the whole Crisis shebang. Supergirl dies, Superman cries. That’s how DC rolls.

From the most iconic, we go to the most dramatic. Barry Allen makes his last stand, and we all know what happens next. We miss you, Bar… actually, no. Only the old fans miss you. SRY.

This would have been the most awesome and scary supervillain charge of all time, if they only passed on including the Penguin parachuting with his umbrella.

If there’s one thing that would indicate that this is a crisis of cosmic proportions, it’ll be a battle between the Anti-Monitor and the Spectre: DEATH AT THE DAWN OF TIME!

It’s one whole clusterfuck of characters as the Anti-Monitor takes on everybody! BOO-YAH!

They don’t do covers like these anymore. Sure, emo poses of heroes and villains are cool, but I want to see more clusterfucks that lead to DEATH AT THE DAWN OF TIME! And giant dudes with weird facial hair too.
