Sure, there were some incoherent and illogical plot points in the Transformers movie, but the whole point of seeing a movie about giant transforming robots fighting each other is seeing GIANT TRANSFORMING ROBOTS FIGHTING EACH OTHER. On that note, here are 10 reasons why I think the Transformers movie rocks face:
- It brings back memories of my childhood. A time when plot holes and poor character development weren’t an issue. Nostalgia galore.
- GIANT TRANSFORMING ROBOTS FIGHTING EACH OTHER.
- It contains lots of explosions. I love explosions.
- Although the character isn’t the same from the cartoons, it’s still named “Devastator“. Any movie with a character named “Devastator” rocks face in my book. I mean, come on. “DEVASTATOR”. 1st runner-up: “Starscream“.
- Only one Autobot dies: Jazz, the token black Autobot.
- Peter Cullen, the original voice of Optimus Prime, does the voice of Movie Optimus Prime. And he gets to say “One shall stand and one shall fall.” again! YAY!
- Optimus Prime: “MEGATRON!” Megatron: “PRIME!”
- Bumblebee “lubricating” on Agent Simmons: one of the greatest moments in film history.
- GIANT TRANSFORMING ROBOTS FIGHTING EACH OTHER.
- As if giant transforming robots aren’t eye candy enough…
