STAMFORD, Conn., June 25, 2007 – World Wrestling Entertainment was informed today by authorities in Fayette County, Ga., that WWE Superstar Chris Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and his son were found dead in their home. Authorities are investigating, but no other details are available at this time.
It’s a depressing way to start my morning. Chris Benoit, “The Rabid Wolverine” with “Toothless Aggression”, has gone on to that great wrestling ring in the sky with his wife and son. I’ve never been this sad about a wrestler’s death since Eddie Guerrero passed away.
I hope whoever did this will suffer a terrible death and go to Hell, where he’ll be locked in the Crippler Crossface and the Sharpshooter for all of eternity! Bastard.
Condolence to the Benoit family and loved ones. Chris, for me, you will always be “4 Real“.

According to lead investigator Lt. Tommy Pope, of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, in Fayetteville, Ga., the deaths of WWE Superstar Chris Benoit, wife Nancy and son Daniel were the result of a double murder-suicide, WWE.com has learned.
Apparently, Benoit killed his wife and son, and then committed suicide. I think I just called Chris Benoit a bastard.
In light of this development in the investigation, I still respect Benoit and his wrestling legacy. And I’m still sad.
UPDATE 2: OK they removed that last update already and also all Benoit tributes on-air and online as a response to all the recent developments of the case now being treated as a double murder-suicide.
Reports say that Benoit wasn’t in a state of rage and the killings were done with deliberation. What was going on in Benoit’s head? I’m starting to get creeped out here.
UPDATE 3: I still respect Benoit’s wrestling legacy, but I’ve officially lost my respect for Chris Benoit himself. I mean, he strangled his wife Friday, he choked his 7-year old son to death Saturday, stayed with the bodies Sunday, and then hung himself Monday. I’ll never watch his past matches the same way again.
I still can’t believe he is dead. It’s also sad to know about that double murder suicide thing.

And the death being a double murder suicide! I’ve always had the impression that Chris Benoit was a silent, cool-headed guy. tsk tsk

I’d never.. EVER could think it “Rabid Wolverine” would die in eny near of this kind of incident.. okay mayby that he would be murdered but NOT this!
I can’t say something like:
“I hate you Benoit! Why have you to do it!?” because I don’t know what have happened on his personal life and/or going on his head to do this.
“Chris follows his best friend and another absolutely legendary WWE Wrestler Eddie Guerrero to the grave only a couple of years after.”
I’m really gonna listen his WWE Theme♪ at repeat, watch his matches/interviews at WWE/TNA/ECW, watch pictures of him and like now when I write this let the tears flow because the Most Dominating Superstar of Smacdown! roster has gone to the better place.
I really hope you Benoit and your wife, Nancy, and your son rest in peace.
