I just realized that I haven’t updated this blog since the end of June. This got me pondering on the future of Face Rockery. Should I (a) continue posting stuff that I can also post on my other blog and my tumblelog, (b) leave this blog alone and let it die a natural bloggy death or (c) shut it down now and get it over with? Then I realized  it’s just a frickin’ blog and it doesn’t deserve this kind of drama. So I opted for option C.

The trail of Face Rockery mayhem ends here, kids. I’ll keep the blog up but I will no longer update it. However, my geekery doesn’t stop here. You can visit me at Baddieverse, my blog of dickeries, for the continuation of my face-rocking geektitude! You can also follow me on Tumblr because I post random shit there, usually related to comics. Especially DOOM. And Poison Ivy.

Another awesome monthly book bites the dust. This is a sad day for me. I’ve been enjoying Captain Britain and MI-13 since it launched in the middle of Secret Invasion and I feel it’s being taken from us way too soon. I just can’t believe they’re going to cancel a book where Dr. Doom helps Dracula with his plan to invade Britain. Vampires invade the UK, you guys! Sigh. It’s a sad, sad day indeed.

My favorite comic blogger slash Internet hooligan Chris Sims, along with Matthew Allen Smith and Benjamin Birdie, has unleashed The Chronicles of Solomon Stone upon us and, well, I can’t find the words to describe how CRAZY AWESOME it is. I’ll let this one panel do the talking:

First thing that came to mind was “Great. Another X-Team.” After a few nanoseconds, I was like “Jesus, this is awesome.”

The upcoming crossover between Dark Avengers and Uncanny X-Men will introduce a new team put together by Norman Osborn and led by Emma Frost. The team is a little strange for an X-Team. We have Angel who is currently running with X-Force and is one of the original X-Men.  He and Frost are the only real X-Men in this bunch. Everybody else wearing the “X” gives me that old “Well, that’s weird” feeling.
